Of the 640,000 displaced persons recorded since the onset of the crisis, more than 610,000\u2014representing approximately 94% of the affected population\u2014have returned to their places of origin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, the Ministry reports that 36,548 individuals remain displaced. This vulnerable group includes 18,946 women and 12,216 children who are currently unable to return to their homes due to ongoing security concerns and the presence of foreign forces in specific zones.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry\u2019s report highlights a sustained suspension of essential public services across three key provinces. In\u00a0<strong>Oddar Meanchey<\/strong>, eight schools and five hospitals or health centers remain closed.\u00a0<strong>Banteay Meanchey<\/strong>\u00a0continues to see the closure of five schools and one health facility, while\u00a0<strong>Preah Vihear<\/strong>\u00a0reports seven schools and two hospitals currently out of operation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regarding physical infrastructure, the Ministry confirmed that no new reports of damage to public or private property have been recorded since December 7, 2025. However, the restoration of access to these vital facilities remains a top priority for the Royal Government.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry of Interior formally voiced its support for the Royal Government\u2019s recent protest against &#8220;continued acts of encroachment and unlawful occupation&#8221; by Thai armed forces. These activities have been documented in several sovereign Cambodian locations, including areas southeast of Tamone Thom Temple, Mom Bei, Thmar Daun Village, An Seh, Ta Thav, Ta Sem, Chak Chreng, Phnom Trap, and K&#8217;nar Temple.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry reiterated that these areas are situated entirely within the sovereign territory of the Kingdom of Cambodia, as defined by the maps of the Commissions of Delimitation of the Boundary between Indo-China and Siam, and in accordance with the Franco-Siamese Convention of 1904 and the Treaty of 1907. The Ministry noted that these unilateral actions by the Thai side constitute a direct violation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on June 14, 2000, and the de-escalation measures agreed upon during the 3rd Special General Border Committee (GBC) meeting on December 27, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In its closing statement, the Ministry of Interior urged both the national and international communities to maintain confidence in the Royal Government\u2019s commitment to a peaceful resolution.
