Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation to the United States to participate in the Inaugural Meeting of the Board of Peace. Scheduled for 19 February 2026 at the Donald J. Trump U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C., the meeting signifies the formal initiation of the Board’s crucial mandate, established under the framework of the United Nations Security Council Resolution adopted on 17 November 2025. This initiative is primarily dedicated to promoting sustainable peace and advancing humanitarian reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
The Prime Minister’s participation underscores Cambodia’s steadfast commitment to multilateralism and its active role in contributing to international security and post-conflict recovery, in alignment with the fundamental principles enshrined in the UN Charter. The session will feature comprehensive discussions among participating leaders regarding critical aspects of regional and global peace, stability, and mutual economic development. During the Washington visit, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet is scheduled to hold key bilateral meetings with U.S. dignitaries and leaders from various nations. These engagements aim to reinforce existing bilateral relations and explore avenues for expanded cooperation across trade, investment, and diplomatic sectors, based on mutual respect and shared interests.
Following the Washington engagement, the Prime Minister will embark on a working visit to key European centers, including Geneva and Brussels. These visits are designed to further solidify partnerships with prominent European leaders and critical stakeholders, enhancing Cambodia’s diplomatic and economic collaboration with the European Union and international organizations headquartered there.
