Prey Veng PDoEYS Convenes Congress to Evaluate 2024-2025 Academic Performance and Outline Future Directions

On the morning of January 29, 2026, the Prey Veng Provincial Department of Education, Youth, and Sport (PDoEYS) opened its two-day annual congress to summarize and evaluate the results of the 2024-2025 academic year and set directions for 2025-2026. The event was presided over by H.E. Tonh Im, Undersecretary of State for the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport (MoEYS).

According to the PDoEYS Director, Mr. Pav Sothir, the congress aimed to review progress against strategic plans, identify challenges across the six sub-sectors, and agree on practical measures. H.E. Tonh Im provided high-level guidance, emphasizing that Priority 1 is strengthening school governance, improving early grade literacy and numeracy, reducing dropout rates, and expanding the ‘Model School’ initiative across the province.
