**KAMPONG SPEU, Cambodia – February 28, 2026** – Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Samdech Techo Youth Volunteer Doctors Association (TYDA), spearheaded a significant medical outreach program today, providing free health check-ups and treatments to more than 4,000 families in Kampong Speu province. The initiative underscores TYDA’s unwavering commitment to enhancing public health and welfare across the Kingdom.
Speaking at a gathering held within the compound of Hun Sen Chan Thnal High School in Ampil P’aem village, Krang Chek commune, Samaki Monichey district, Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet emphasized that TYDA’s activities are fully aligned with the Royal Government’s political agenda. This agenda prioritizes improving the well-being of all citizens without discrimination based on political affiliation, social class, or skin color. She stressed the continuous effort to ensure every individual enjoys good health and strong physical condition, enabling them to actively participate in national development and prosperity.
Dr. Pich Chanmony further elaborated on the new government’s strategic plans to strengthen the healthcare sector. This includes the establishment of regional hospitals equipped with modern medical facilities capable of performing major surgeries. These new regional hospitals are intended to complement and enhance the services provided by existing health centers and referral hospitals, thereby improving accessibility to healthcare services for all citizens.
The current medical mission, involving over 400 dedicated medical professionals, offered a wide array of services. These included general medicine consultations, dental care, ultrasound scans, gynecological examinations, ophthalmology, cardiology, pediatrics, ENT (ear, nose, and throat) treatments, dermatology, joint evaluations, hemorrhoid treatment, minor surgeries, and X-ray imaging, among several other health assessments.
